ANZAC Day in the Butterfly Room

We have had a fantastic week of learning, excitement, creativity and fun in the Butterfly Room as we paid tribute to our fallen soldiers and learnt about ANZAC. We have been creative with arts and crafts making and painting poppies, we painted our awesome army tank, we made some yummy ANZAC cookies and some of our tamariki took a trip to the library where we read some books, built with lego and made some cool ANZAC poppies. To top off our awesome week we finished up with a super hero disco which was so much fun. A huge thank you to all our parents and whanau who took the time to dress their little super heroes. We would also like to say a huge thank you to Jonathon (Kalei’s dad) who took the time to come and chat with us about his time in the army this was awesome learning for our tamariki. Also thank you to Chris (Luca’s mum) who brought in some special treasures from her time in the army to share with our tamariki.
Have a wonderful long weekend with your loved ones and we will see you all back on Tuesday for more fun and excitement.
