Talofa lava aiga. To kick start Samoan Language week at Chelc. A group of children and kaiako went on an excursion to the Hastings Library to watch a Samoan Siva performed by Hastings Girls High School students.
This was the perfect opportunity for our children to embrace, engage and gain knowledge of Samoan Siva, singing, cultural wear and language.
The children engaged in the faataupati which allowed them to join in by clapping their hands and listening to the leaders call.
