Namaste, Kia orana, Aloha and greetings to all of our CHELC whanau. We look forward to the sunny hot weather that is forecast for the upcoming week, a reminder to all of our whanau to please provide a potae/hat and several changes of kakahu/clothes as the splash pad will be on most of the day to keep our tamariki cool and comfortable:)

We have a few new initiatives happening in the Chrysalis room, we have created a whanau rakau/tree this tree acknowledges that our tamariki do not come alone, their whanau is central and integral to their learning, making significant links between home and the centre (familiar pikitia) will enhance the child’s sense of belonging and affirm that they are valued members of our learning community. We ask that you provide a beautiful family picture to add to our whanau tree 🌴🌴🌴

Love letters ❤️ devoted kaiako will be writing letters to their profile tamariki focusing on their strengths, character and personality, these letters are a reflection of the amazing human beings they are. These will be displayed next to our family tree.

Waitangi celebration preparations will begin next week:) How do you as a family acknowledge Waitangi? Are there any family traditions you do? Are you a direct descendant of someone who signed the treaty? We would love to hear your stories, please see either Kaitlan, Faith, Kirstin, Aspen, Elke or Luella.

Arohanui, your Chrysalis whanau
