Centre Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced and qualified centre manager (permanent/full-time). We are looking for a passionate and innovative leader to lead an established and dynamic teaching team.

As a high-impact leader, reporting to the directors, you will be passionate about delivering amazing learning outcomes for our children and you will take pride in the smooth day-to-day operation of the centre. Being a great communicator and building fantastic relationships will be key.

Central Hastings ELC is a beautiful, purpose-built centre where we welcome children and their whānau to our respectful and supportive learning environment where their sense of belonging, uniqueness and cultural heritage is acknowledged, celebrated, and sustained by a professional, experienced, and friendly teaching team.

What we are looking for

  • B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current teacher registration/certification
  • Strong understanding of planning and assessment, pedagogy, and curriculum and be able to support and guide our teaching team in these areas.
  • Sound knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whāriki and hold compliance in a high regard.
  • You are passionate about simplifying the way we do things.
  • This is a full-time position, supported by a full-time office administrator.
  • Extended Pay Parity and now moving to Full Pay Parity.

Early Childhood Relievers

We’re hiring! We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable teachers to join our casual relievers pool.  While an ECE qualification is an advantage, we are also interested in hearing from experienced, unqualified applicants. 

To support our friendly, professional team during staff absences we are seeking capable individuals who possess a kind and nurturing approach towards children, and the ability to be flexible and responsive.  As not all staff absences are planned, a willingness to receive offers of work at short notice is desirable.

We offer excellent working conditions including spacious, indoor and outdoor spaces.

We have a vacancy for a registered teacher at our privately owned centre in Hastings.

Our centre is 5 years old and we’re all about creating magical learning experiences to help our tamariki reach their full potential. There’s lots to explore in our open natural spaces, allowing our kaiako to provide unique learning experiences in a warm, loving and safe environment.

We’re currently looking for someone to join our amazing team, who enjoys building close bonds with both children and teachers and thrives on providing unique learning experiences to our tamariki.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a current teaching registration and ECE qualification
  • Be a NZ registered teacher
